Mickey 7

Edward Ashton’s Mickey7 is an enjoyable Sci Fi story revolving around the topic of cloning.

The premise was quite similar to that of the amazing Movie Moon (2009) – IMDb with Sam Rockwell as the lead. The book was easy reading but that shouldn’t be inferred as meaning it lacked depth or interest. I liked how the author kept the plot focussed. This allowed him to do some excellent exposition on the key characters. Too often, Sci-fi takes itself too seriously. There was a good deal of humour in Mickey7 which contributed to the interest and enjoyment. This book could easily become a movie and I’ll definitely check it out if it comes out.
